There are many different types of gender issues in Japan, such as trains that only allow women, women's day etc. But the gender issue that I find interesting are the Japanese lodgings that only allow women in. It may be just for the security of the girls in the lodging, but what I thought was that 'why can't people trust men here?' To be honest, by making that lodging just for women, doesn't that mean that it is more dangerous for the women living there, since only women can live there? If a male criminal wants to attack a woman, that lodging should be a perfect target...
This gender issue is really confusing for me...
It is what Japanese society has made.. I saw a lady getting on the train just next to the only female section. I felt it was weird that she was not in there.
